Bedford Heights, OH (June 16, 2024) – Authorities were notified that their assistance was needed at a motor vehicle accident in which at least one person was hurt. The incident took place at around 5:25 p.m. on June 14.
According to law enforcement reports, a silver 2015 Kia was stopped in traffic on Interstate 480 West. At the same time, a gray 2024 Nissan Sentra was also stopped in traffic directly behind the Kia. For unknown reasons, a black 2018 Ford Fusion coming from behind the Nissan Sentra was not able to stop their vehicle. As a result, the Ford Fusion crashed into the Nissan Sentra. The force of the collision sent the Nissan Sentra into the back of the Kia.
One person involved in the accident was injured. Bedford Heights Fire Department EMS responded to the scene to render aid to 29-year-old Dangela Monique Hicks. Hicks was then transported to Hillcrest Hospital. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
