Landskroner Grieco Merriman, LLC, (“Team LGM”), proudly announces one of the firm’s principal attorneys, Paul Grieco, will take office as President of the Ohio Association for Justice (OAJ), and lead one of Ohio’s most influential civil justice advocacy organizations.
One of Ohio’s leading trial attorneys, Grieco will begin his term after being sworn in on May 5 at the OAJ’s annual convention in Columbus. That’s when he takes charge of the state’s largest organization for plaintiffs’ attorneys.
Founded in 1954, the OAJ’s mission is to preserve the Constitutional rights of Ohio residents and protect access to the civil justice system for all Ohioans through advocacy in the Courthouse, Statehouse, and Bureau of Workers’ Compensation.
The organization’s 1,400 members include attorneys who focus in the practice areas of, civil rights, family law, personal injury, workers’ compensation, consumer law, medical malpractice, employment law and more.
“It’s an honor to be chosen to lead the Ohio Association for Justice in the upcoming year,” Grieco said today. “The OAJ is a great organization with a long history of advocating for regular people who have been wronged. Throughout my legal career, I have been committed to those ideals as well.”
When he takes office, Grieco will lead the OAJ’s Board of Directors. He also will speak for Ohioans on a national level on the American Association for Justice Presidents Council.
A 1989 graduate of Case Western Reserve University’s School of Law, Grieco has been practicing law in Ohio since 1995. He received the Garretson Courage Award in 2014 after representing the interest of 11 children who had been abused and neglected in the foster care adoptive system.
In addition to being President-elect of the OAJ, attorney Grieco serves a trustee of the Cleveland Academy of Trial Attorneys (CATA) and has repeatedly been named an Ohio Super Lawyer. He regularly testifies before the Ohio Legislature regarding access to justice.
